About :

Meshwork is a Japanese hand-weaving technique made traditionally with cotton ribbons.
With this technique, no need of needles or yarns! By playing with colors, patterns and fabrics, you will create a unique textile piece.
In this workshop, we will step a bit out of the traditional meshwork pattern by using unused textiles and give a second life to that forgotten shirt in our wardrobe. The variety of colors and textures will bring irregularity and create unexpected patterns.

You will be introduced to basics of this hand weaving technique and develop your own piece.

Material:

All material will be provided, including cotton and denim clothes. If you want to bring your own textiles, be sure it only woven fabrics (no knit, no jersey or any kind of stretch fabric).
